Originally homesteaded in the 1860's by Michael Adams the Orchard Farmhouse, with the Inn's Dining Room, stands at the heart of Inn at Ship Bay. Once a cornerstone of the local Orcas Island agricultural economy, several acres of heirloom apple, pear, and plum orchards still surround the Inn and produce an abundance of fresh fruit that is featured in our seasonal menus.

Our grounds also are graced by the presence of many deer, bald eagles, and other wildlife. We are proud to be stewards of this historic Orcas Island property and are firmly committed to maintaining this very special environment.
